Master a certain subject? You apply for a $2,500 grant

Students with broad knowledge of a topic can take a quiz and win money for college

If you master a topic well, you are invited to put this knowledge to good use by taking a quiz and win money to pay for your college education.

Have you recently enrolled with accredited schools online or offline or are you currently searching for degree programs that fit your criteria? If that’s the case maybe you want to hear about a great opportunity to earn a scholarship.

No matter how affordable your accredited schools online or offline degree might be, getting a grant to cover the tuition is a benefit of being a student in the digital age. You see, since everyone these days has the Internet at their disposal, it’s a lot easier to be up to date with all the scholarship opportunities out there.

That’s why students of degree programs today don’t usually pin all their hopes only on the scholarship opportunities offered by their universities of choice. Far from it, today you can go online and easily find other scholarship opportunities that might bring in the money for college you need. You should also remember, there’s no written law saying you can’t be the beneficiary of more than one scholarship.

The key is to apply for lots and lots of scholarships – as many as you can. Just applying to one program does not guarantee you will be successful. That’s why applying to multiple programs has you covered.

In some instances, even your parents can help you win college money. How so? For example, check out the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation. Do you happen to love reading Reddit’s Today I Learned thread? Do you know lots of things from different areas? If that’s the case for you, then you should really think of applying to one or two of these scholarships.

All you need to do is take a quiz, show the Common Knowledge Foundation what you know and win a scholarship. Or you could get one of your family members to do it instead.

Students with the highest scores at the end of each competition will win an award ranging from $250 to $2,500.

The Foundation hosts competitions for students out of school, but must importantly for high-school students and college students approximately each month. For example, in October, you can register to compete for the High School Biology Scholarship or for the College Medical Terminology Scholarship. So if you have vast knowledge in these areas, we invite you to apply.

No other documentations are required to enter this competition. The Foundation does not require you to make proof of your GPA or to send in letters of recommendation or long boring essays.

Even in this scholarship program might sound too good to be true, this is an exception. Yes, it does not come with a long list of requirements, as the Foundation is only interested in your knowledge of a certain topic. Period.

The Common Knowledge Foundation does not require you share any personal information like your social security number. You can also read the testimonials of past winners and see full lists of students who have competed in the most recent competitions.

You will need to sign in with an account with Common Knowledge in order to start the application process.

Driven and ambitious students can earn up to $25,000 in funding

You don’t need to have a high GPA to get funding for college

Demonstrate rock solid ambition to achieve your goal and the AXA Foundation will sponsor your education

The scholarship process can be an intimidating and grueling task for many students of traditional or online universities. It can even be scary for parents who don’t have the financial means to support their children’s college ambitions.

According to many students, the hardest part of applying for grants for school is finding the appropriate scholarships. You can easily get confused by the sheer amount of them, not to mention you need to worry about avoiding scammers too.

To get started, it recommended students of online universities sit down and write a list of activities, organizations, interests, companies and other areas they are involved with. Try answering questions like “What organizations, companies I am involved in?”, “What topics I am passionate above” or “What are some skills that I possess?”

It might not seem these question have to do with finding a scholarship, but they do. You see, if your main skill is writing essays, then you can put that to good use and start researching scholarships which require creative writing to apply. Or for example, you might have spent your high school years doing a lot of community work or trying to set up a photography club at your school.

If that’s the case, you will be able to apply for a scholarship like the one offered by the AXA Foundation. Soon to be students of offline or online universities who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in non-academic activities in school, community or workplace are invited to apply.

Through the AXA Achievement Scholarship program, students can access funding for school via the $2,500, $10,000 or $25,000 scholarships. Additionally, for every student who wins a scholarship, a $1,000 grant will be deposited with the winner’s school.

While applicants for the scholarships offered by the AXA Foundation can come from ethnically or economically diverse backgrounds, they need to share these qualities: ambition, drive, determination to reach their goals, respect for self and their families, as well as the ability to succeed in college.

The AXA Achievement Scholarship program is currently accepting entry, so if you think you have what it takes, you can go ahead and start work on your application already.

You can apply for this scholarship without worrying about it being a scam, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of fake bursary programs out there. How do you make sure you stay away from them? You need to look out for a few things.

Scams have zero requirements aside from entering your basic information. Some might ask for a 100 character or less “essay”.

You should start thinking twice about applying for a grant, if it’s awarded weekly or monthly, as most legit scholarships are offered once or twice per year.

A big red flag is when the scholarship provider asks for your social security number. Under no circumstances give that one out, as only the FAFSA – a government institution – is the only legitimate website that should ask you for that information.

Gamers that can talk about their gaming passion can with this $5,000 scholarship earn money for college just by talking about your gaming experience

Gaming takes up most of your time? Then you should consider writing down your experiences for a chance to win money for college

College grants aren’t just for people with high GPAs and stellar SAT Scores. Some scholarship awarding institutions have taken to bucking the trend of rewarding academic greatness, and instead offering scholarship based on unique talents, odd interests, creativity and other unorthodox criteria.

Traditional or online universities usually have their own scholarship programs, but average students of college education online or offline can’t always access them due to falling short of a requirement or two. More than often, these programs require the applicant to have a pretty high GPA.

Well fortunately, students who prefer extra-curricular activities to academic ones, still have a chance to get ahold of a grant to pay for their college education online or offline degree. For example, do you like gaming? Do you spend hours in front of the computer trying to beat a boss or to solve a puzzle? Are you a huge fan of Magic: The Gathering? Then this scholarship might be for you.

Students of offline or online universities, who can also get poetic about their gaming experiences are invited to apply to the Gamers Helping Gamers scholarship program.

You can win a $5,000 grant if you submit your high school transcript (there’s no minimum GPA requirement, don’t worry) and FAFSA form. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a form that has to be prepared annually by current or perspective college students in order to determine their eligibility to receive financial aid.

On top of that you will have to include an essay which answers a few specific questions. Here’s an example of last year’s essay themes: “What is your favorite magic card or mechanic and why?” If you think you can answer a question like that, then you have come to the right place.

The Gamers Helping Gamers scholarship program is not yet accepting applications for the next school years, but it will do so this fall. So bookmark this scholarship and return to it at a later date.

If gaming is not really your thing, maybe you like traveling and tourism. If that’s the case for you then you should check the Tourism Cares Academic Scholarships.

In order to access funding here, you’ll need to be a full or part time student enrolled in a travel, tourism or hospitality college degree (bachelor or master’s). Applicants need to demonstrate a minimum 3.0 GPA, which is not a super strict requirement.

Undergrads can earn a $2,500 scholarship if they send it their resume, two letters of recommendation, school transcript and an essay that shouldn’t be more than 2 pages in length and addresses questions like:

“Which segment of the travel and tourism or hospitality industry your current program of study focuses on.”

“What opportunities are you taking advantage of as you prepare for a career in the industry?”

Tourism Cares offers a wide range of scholarships and you can take a few minutes and browse through them all to see if you can apply to any others.

Show your commitment for community service and earn this $10,000 grant

Students don’t have to have an excellent academic record to get grants

Even if you haven’t excelled in college or high school, you can still get your higher education funded

Students of distance learning or traditional program often wonder – if you don’t have an A average is there a chance you’ll be able to get a scholarship? Those enrolled in offline or online college classes usually have to worry about finding alternative ways to pay for college. Funding is one of these ways, but most scholarships often have a high GPA requirement.

Fortunately for those striving to get funding for their distance learning or traditional program, not all scholarships focus on high grades. Some sponsors believe excellence in a non-academic area is just enough to earn a student a scholarship.

Such programs might be offered by non-academic institutions that might include your employer or your parent’s employer, your place of worship, hobbyist group, local business, community service organization or unions.

For example, you can pay for your offline or online college classes by applying to the Tylenol Future Care Scholarship. This program targets students who are pursuing careers in healthcare, life science and other related fields.

The scholarship is awarded based on demonstrated leadership qualities and community involvement. While your college GPA will be used to decide which students will receive the grant, there’s no minimum GPA requirement to submit your application.

The Tylenol Future Care Scholarship program also require candidates to submit an essay on a given topic. 10 grants each worth $10,000 will be awarded annually, as well as 30 scholarships each worth $5,000 – but note they are not renewable.

https://www.tylenol.com/news/scholarship

This is a large grant, so you can expect the competition to be fierce. That’s why if you don’t have a strong leadership record and a history of being involved in community activities, it’s best you skip this program. Also take into consideration that the bigger your GPA, the more chance you have at getting accepted.

If you did some volunteering here and there, you can put this experience to good use by applying to the Prudential Spirt of Community Award for a chance to win $1,000 and a trip to Washington D.C. The Prudential Foundation will select an awardee in each state, which will then go on to compete for $5,000 awards.

In order to be eligible to enter the competition, you need to submit your application. After you filled out all the information, you’ll have to get it certified by your school principal or head of a country 4-H organization, Girl Scout council, American Red Cross chapter, YMCA or Affiliate of Points of Light’s HandsOn Network.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Award is sponsored by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals. The program has been available since 1995 to help students who have been active volunteer secure funding for college.

So even if you are not a straight A student, there are plenty of other opportunities for you provided you have a passion or have been engaged with an activity of some sort (like volunteering) for a while now.

Check out this $1,000 scholarship for online students

Online students can also seek funding for their studies

Scholarships specifically targeted at online students tend to be more scarce, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist at all

Going to school, even online can be expensive journey. While on average, online classes tend to be more affordable than their traditional counterparts, you’ll still need to pay the fees associated with the online program you have enrolled yourself in. For example, at Walden University – one of the best online college course providers out there – tuition ranges around $12,000 – which is quite a hefty sum.

If you haven’t saved or planned to take online classes in advance, you’ll probably find yourself unable to pay these fees. Luckily there are other ways to get your hands on funds to pay for that online college course program you’ve always wanted to enroll into. The easiest route to these funds is to apply to scholarships.

While there are many grant opportunities out there, scholarships specifically targeting online students aren’t exactly common place. You will have to search and search and search some more.

That’s because online education is a relatively new development of traditional education, and most scholarship providers are still targeting the majority – and the majority is still attending traditional university. But with the numbers of online students are on the rise, some associations have started offering grants exclusively for online students.

It’s the case of Get Educated – a website which prides itself of being a consumer’s guide to online education. On top of providing users with useful information and tips, Get Educated is also awarding a $1,000 scholarship to students enrolled with an accredited online degree program.

To access the grant, candidates need to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 which is not a super strict requirement, although other scholarships programs will allow you to send in your application even with a GPA of 2.5.

Anyway, Get Educated also requires you to submit a 500-word essay with the title: “What an online college degree means to me”. On top of that you’ll be required to attach a copy of your most recent grade transcripts, as well as a copy of your most recent FAFSA (or your 1040 tax return).

Get Educated awards this scholarship twice a year, so you have a deadline coming up on October 15 and another on March 15.

These is one of the easier to apply to scholarships, as you only need to attach your grade transcripts, as well as the creative essay. So it should take so much out of your precious time. Remember that most scholarship programs will have you submit a lot more documents, while also asking for your input on a number of topics you need to disseminate in a long, boring essay.

In contrast, you’ll be done in no time with this application. Be as candid as possible and tell the jury how earning an online degree will change your life. Have you dreamed all your life of going to college? Are you the first one in the family to do so? Share your experience and hopefully you’ll be among the winners.

Pay for your Master degree with this $7,500 scholarship

Student athletes can apply for this Master degree grant

Those who want to continue their higher education with a Master degree should start searching for post-graduate scholarships

If you recently graduated with a degree, but you’d like to continue your pursuit of academic programs, then you are probably interested in enrolling with masters degree online or offline.

And as it is the case when it comes to any educational programs, scholarships for students of masters degree online or offline are available. Online schools and traditional colleges alike seek to encourage students to pursue a post-graduate degree by offering all kinds of scholarship programs.

But what if you’re not eligible to apply to the bursary program offered by your college for some reason or another? What do you do then? Do you give up? The answer is: of course not. Consider your other affiliations. Are you an athlete or maybe you have a fondness for writing poetry? If that’s the case, then you should put these skills to good use in your quest of obtaining funding.

Online schools or traditional ones might run out of funds, so that’s why you always need to have a few alternatives ready if you really want to get a scholarship to pay for your university tuition.

Consider the scholarship program offered by the National Collegiate Athletic Association or NCAA for short, which aims to encourage athletes to go to college. The NCAA has a postgraduate scholarship program which awards $7,5000 to student athletes interested in attending a Master’s program.

However, in order to be considered for the grant you will have to be nominated for the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Program during the academic year in which you complete your final season of eligibility for intercollegiate athletics.

On top of that you need to have an overall undergraduate minimum GPA of 3.2 or its equivalent.

If that’s your case, then we should start talking about the application process. First off, you will have to include official transcripts from your university, showing academic excellence. Then you need to worry about writing a personal statement and asking your coach or a teacher to write you a letter of recommendation.

Entries will be judged on various criteria including the student’s athletics achievements, academic performance, institutional involvements, as well as active role in community service.

As you can see the NCAA will assess both your academic and athletic qualities to determine whether you should be awarded the $7,500 grant for your Master studies. Unfortunately, it’s not so easy to apply for this grant. However, if you are a committed athlete and student, you shouldn’t have such a hard time applying for this grant.

Luckily, the NCAA doesn’t impose strict requirements on awardees – for example, student athletes aren’t obliged to enroll with a sports’ related degree. The winner of the scholarship can go ahead and study chemistry or art if they so desire.

That’s a major plus to consider, when thinking whether you should invest the time to apply for this scholarship or not.

We should also note that each sports season (there are 3 a year), the NCAA offers 29 scholarships for men and 29 scholarships for women. The deadline for the next postgraduate scholarship is on January 26, 2018. Good luck!
